Waveborn has had an incredibly successful 2013, and we want to say thanks to you (and your friends) for all the support! We just rolled out a new store credit program as part of our holiday giving campaign, and we have given you $10,000 store credit with Waveborn.

You can access your store credit to begin placing orders by logging in with this email address and password "waveborn" at We have < 750 pairs remaining this holiday season, so be prepared to save some of the store credit for our spring collection in April.

You can use the attached template to transfer funds to any coworkers, business partners, customers, friends, and/or family who you want to give the gift of sight to this holiday season. Be creative and think about those in your network most likely to purchase luxury Italian sunglasses and want to give back to the global eye care community.

All Waveborn frames retail for $180 and are available with custom UV, polarized, or prescription lenses (additional costs). We have seen good results in giving people $25, $50, or $100 store credit and then getting them to pay the difference to bring in sales revenue with the discounted store credit purchases. If you do give $180+ to someone, we recommend that you encourage them to donate something for each pair ($10 is ok, $25-50 is good, $100 is great, and anything more would be huge for our charity partners :).

We are working towards our goal to raise $100,000+ for our charity partners this holiday season to provide 10,000 additional prescription eyeglasses to Unite for Sight and fund 1,000 cataract surgeries through SEE International.

I've got big ideas about The Giving Model (yes, proper noun) that we use, and I want to get everyone on the planet to start using. What if this holiday season, every time you spent money on a consumer product, you donated something (anything) to a good cause. It can be $5, or 5% or $0.05, but something.

"Hey I just bought my wife a $200 necklace, let me go donate $20 to the lung transplant foundation because my dad died of lunch cancer and that cause is important to me"


"Hey kids, I don't need another pair of earrings, but please give the gift of sight through Unite for Sight on my behalf this holiday season. It only costs $5 to help someone less fortunate on my behalf" (and they get a nice card to give as a present).
